Sales Specialist

Minnesota and South Carolina

Full-time sales positions are regularly available at our Minnesota and South Carolina locations.  The Sales Specialist will be responsible for executing daily sales activities, including:

Assist customers

  • Goes above and beyond to deliver value

Develop a working knowledge of the product and industry

Purchasing Specialist

Blaine, MN

Lindstrom is seeking to fill a full-time position in our purchasing department at our corporate headquarters.  The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for executing daily purchasing activities, including:

Solicit and compare quotes:

  • Runs regularly-scheduled purchasing forecast reports
  • Selects items and quantities for purchase
  • Communicates with a variety of vendors from all over the globe
  • Makes the best decision for each item based on trade-offs between price, lead time and quality

Execute purchase orders:

  • Enters data with a high level of accuracy
  • Submits orders to vendors

Manage open orders:

  • Maintains late reports
  • Requests expedited shipments

Communicate regularly throughout all organizational levels, including:

  • Senior purchasing agents
  • Sales
  • Upper management

Warehouse Material Handler

All Locations

Material Handler positions are available at each of our warehouses and include the following duties and responsibilities:

Receiving:

  • Unloads trucks
  • Verifies parts
  • Receives incoming freight via computer system

Stocking:

  • Verifies product and quantity going into stock
  • Puts product in correct location utilizing FIFO
  • Accurately marks overstock and main locations

Order Filling:

  • Prioritizes orders to be filled
  • Fills orders verifying product and quantities are correct
  • Routes orders to appropriate shipping or processing area

Packaging:

  • Verifies product to be packaged is correct
  • Packages product in appropriate quantities and containers
  • Labels bags/boxes

Shipping:

  • Verifies product matches order to ship
  • Packages order to prevent damage during shipment
  • Ships order using appropriate shipping lines
  • Loads trucks

Miscellaneous:

  • Corrects and/or reports any inventory inaccuracy or problem resulting in customer dissatisfaction
  • Performs cycle counts
  • Performs cleaning routinely or when asked
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Material Handling, Forklift or previous Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, procedure manuals, etc. at a fast pace.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and efficiently.
  • Must pass Forklift training and maintain Forklift certification.
  • Requires lifting ability of up to 80 pounds, with frequent lifting of 40-60 pounds.  Requires a lot of walking on a concrete surface.
  • Ability to understand and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to solve problems involving several variables.
